Nepal: A Photographic Journey

Kathmandu, Mustang, Pokhara, and Poonhill

 

Date: 22nd Mar to 1st Apr – 11 days

 

Day 1: Arrival

Walk around the places near your hotel and freshen up

 

Day 2: Kathmandu (1350 m) (Swayambhu-Kathmandu-Patan)

 

Photography: tangible and intangible culture and heritage, Surrounding hills and city

  • Swayambhu Maha-Chaitya: Best either in the morning or evening with wide view of Kathmandu and surrounding hill. The local Newa community and mountain people are seen worshipping, playing music and enjoying. 
  • Kathmandu Durbar Square: Core traditional city also known as city of temples.
  • Patan- the City of Crafts : different crafts and temples, Inside core city living
  • Kritipur: For sunset we will go to top of Kritipur

 

Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara (950 m) (fly)

After Breakfast we will take Scenic 25 minutes flight 

  • Phewa Lake and surrounding
  • Peace Stupa for sunset view
  • Suspension bridge and nature

 If interested can do Adventures like paragliding, bungee jumping and zip lining

 

Day 4: Pokhara to Kobang (drive 6-7 hours)

  • Sunrise from Sarangkot
  • We will stop at various points (waterfalls, rivers, viewpoints) during drive before reaching Kobang (a typical Thakali village in the Lower Mustang)
  • In the evening we will have short hike to photograph sunset (River valley, mountains and farm land)

 

Day 5: Kobang-Jomsom-Thini (2743 m) -Around Jomsom

After breakfast, we will reach Jomsom-Thini early

  • We will spend the whole day exploring the surroundings and ways of life.
  • We will explore Dhumba Lake and Thini Village.
  • Explore Bon-Po monasteries and Majestic Mountains In Mustang
  • Marpha and surrounding village
  • Sunset

 

Day 6: Jomsom-Kagbeni-Muktinath (3710 m)

  • Sunrise view on Nilgiri Mountains
  • High altitude arid mountain Landscape
  • Muktinath, or Chumig Gyatsa, is one of the few places on Earth where we will come across all five elements of life together: earth, fire, water, sky, and air.
  • Ancient fortress-like village of Jharkot, known for its more than 500-year-old Red Gompa, an active Tibetan medicine school. With picturesque Chhortens and a large Shakya-Pa sect monastery. The monastery is situated close to the ruins of the forts in Jharkot.

Day 7: Muktinath-Gorepani (2874 m)

From Jomsom, we will drive 3/4 hours to reach the 3-way junction in Ghorepani.

  • On the way, we will stop at various points.
  • Natural hot spring Tatopani
  • "Ghore" means horse and "Pani" means water. From Ghorepani, different mountain ranges such as the Annapurna range, the Dhaulagiri range, and many other mountains can be seen.

Day 8: Gorepani, Poonhill, and Pokhara

  • Sunrise from Poon Hill, also known as the "Wonder of Asia,"
  • The blooming forest of Rhododendron ( national flower of Nepal)
  • Short walk before catching vehicle

 

Day 9: Pokhara-Kathmandu

After an early lunch, we will fly back to Kathmandu.

  • Bhaktapur Durbar square

 

Day 10: Kathmandu

  • Morning Free time for independent activities
  • Afternoon we will drive to Boudha ( Dew drop Stupa) and Pashupatinath
  • Farewell dinner.

 

Day 11: Onwards

3 hours before your flight time we will take you to the international airport for your departure. Your journey with us ends for now, and hopefully we can assist you again in the future.
